“Fjeldfuglen” in New York 02-05 Mars 2017

Fjeldfuglen, the 1859 unfinished opera libretto by Henrik Ibsen which received its world premiere in 2009 by Grusomhetens Teater under the direction of Lars Øyno, will be making its US premiere during 2-5 March 2017 at La Mama in New York City. This tour will feature performances by Odille Anette Heftye Blehr, Hanne Dieserud, Kirsti Sørlie Hansen, Jimmie Jonasson, Lars Tore Pedersen, Nina Eileen Sponnich, Miguel Emilio Dobrodenka Steinsland, Maja Gravemoen Toresen, Hege Tunaal, Stig Zeiner, and Johanna Øyno. Lighting by Jan Skomakerstuen, Costumes by Gjøril Bjercke Sæther, Scenography by Tormod Lindgren, Original Music by Filip Sande, and Produced by Brendan McCall.

Since its world premiere in 2009, Fjeldfuglen has played throughout Norway, Sweden, Germany, France, Poland, Russia, India, and Japan. This engagement in 2017 marks both the US premiere for both this operetta by Ibsen, as well as for Grusomhetens Teater.
