Crossroads: Choreographic research lab with Keith Thompson 3-7 Oct
Open to dancers, actors, and performers interested in exploring short / long movement studies of
choreographed and improvisational contemporary partnering. This workshop will focus on the
exploration of ideas and of meaning. Participants will determine what makes an improvisation
work, and why, as an entry point into creating their own improvised material. Finding the purposes
of movement during spoken dialogue / monologue will also be investigated.
In my own choreographic process, Keith says, I´m most interested in those crossroads, those
intersections within phrases that can support my choices.
Comfortable clothing, an open mind, and an adventurous imagination are required.
